Brand-launch FAQs.
How much does it cost to start a clothing brand in the UK?+
Realistically you can launch a small streetwear brand on a £500–£1,500 budget by starting with a 10–25 piece capsule (Spark package). A serious launch with branded packaging, samples, and 50+ units lives in the £2k–£5k range. Anything beyond that is volume territory — happy to break it down for your specific brief.
What is the minimum order quantity (MOQ)?+
Our Spark package starts at 10 pieces per design, which is one of the lowest MOQs in UK clothing manufacturing. For private-label cut-and-sew with custom fabrics, MOQ starts at 100 pieces per style.
DTF vs screen printing — which is right for me?+
DTF (Direct-to-Film) is best for low-volume runs (1–50 pieces) and complex multi-colour artwork. Screen-printing is more cost-effective at 50+ pieces per design with the same artwork, gives a softer hand-feel, and lasts longer through washes. We'll recommend the right method when you brief us.
Embroidery vs print — which lasts longer?+
Embroidery is virtually permanent and is the gold standard for logos on hoodies, caps, and polos. Print (DTG/DTF/screen) is better for large-format artwork, photographic graphics, and intricate detail. Many of our private-label clients combine both — embroidered chest logo + screen-printed back design.
What is private-label clothing?+
Private-label (also called white-label) is when a manufacturer like us produces garments that ship with YOUR brand's labels, tags, and packaging. The end customer never knows we made them. It's how 90% of independent streetwear brands actually operate.
What is cut-and-sew manufacturing?+
Cut-and-sew is full bespoke garment manufacturing — starting from raw fabric rolls, cutting your pattern, and sewing the garment from scratch. This is what lets you create truly original silhouettes (not just print on a blank tee). Available on our Scale tier with 100-piece MOQ.
